Check
Imaging Q&A
|
| • How long does it take
to view my checks online? |
|
|
In order to view images
of your checks, Mid American’s secure server accesses data from
our check processing company. This process takes time to complete,
so you should expect that downloading check images will take
longer to complete than typical Desktop Banking transactions.
|
| • A check I wrote has
cleared, but the check number is not clickable. Why is that? |
| |
There is normally a delay of one
business day from the time checks have cleared to when they
are available as images.
|
| • My checks are printed
by a third party printer, will I be able to view copies of these? |
| |
Checks printed by third party
printers can be viewed as long as they include the share draft
extension number with your account number. The share draft extension
for all accounts is 080, so if your printer is not currently
doing this, simply ask them to add those digits to the end of
your account number on your checks.
|
| • How do I print a check
image? |
| |
Simply print the image as you
would normally print from within your Internet browser—either
by clicking on the Print icon, or by clicking File, then Print.
|
| • Is there a fee for viewing
check images? |
|
There is no fee for viewing your
check images via Desktop Banking.
|
| • How long will my check
images be available online? |
| |
Check images will be available
for online viewing for four months after clearing your account.
|
| • I need a copy of the
back of one of my checks. How can I do that? |
| |
To get a copy of the back of one
of your checks, you will need to contact Financial Services
at ext. 202. The check image will be mailed to you or made available
for you to pick up at the credit union. There is a $3 fee for
this service.
|
| • Can I view my check
images online without signing up for Desktop Banking? |
| |
Viewing check images online is
only available to Desktop Banking users. If you would like to
signup, please click here.
|
• Can anyone else see
my checks online? |
| |
Since check image viewing is accessed
through Desktop Banking, only you and other authorized joint
account holders are able to view your checks or other account
information. |
